Rad Yiddish offers leftist Yiddish folk arts, language, and cultural programming through a queer, feminist, anti-racist, disability justice lens. They are anti-Zionist and for the liberation of all peoples. They host regular online events such as queer conversation circles, radical reading circles, queer cabarets, arts and crafts workshops, in-person klezmer music jams and Yiddish folk dancing, and publish leftist zines. Rad Yiddish’s zines emerged from their commitment to imagining anti-nationalist, anti-imperialist, collectivist futures of cross-cultural solidarity.
Queer Lefty Yiddish Futures, is a collection of art and poetry in response to the call for submissions “What are your versions of the Queer Lefty Yiddish Future(s)?” and the responses were all this beautiful visual art and poetry that a team of 4 Rad Yiddish members created collages out of and collated into this zine. Radical Recipes contains original recipes by Rad Yiddish member Sorke Schneider with layout by freygl gertsovski. The zine contains full-color images and heartfelt political commentary corresponding to each recipe. They’re either vegan/vegetarian or offer vegetarian protein options. There are also gluten-free desserts.
